| What Happened: | During our house search, we decided to purchase a home in an different suburb than Plainfield. Our realtor was very inconvienced by our decision. She knew we were on a time crunch, yet didn't want to let us out of our contract with her. She showed us the house once. Arranged for someone else to show us the second time. Attanged for someone else to come to the final inspection. And didn't show up to the closing which we scheduled around her and the lawyer she recommended. The lawyer only showed up at the closing to collect the checks after the title company had assumed his role. It was a very disappointing experience. When we called her for helping because the owners didn't have keys or garage door openers for us and left the house in a mess, she offered to pay for cleaners. But we never heard from her again. |
